  The setup is very organised, with clear information on costs, etc. and they have the use of the hotel pool if you're doing a course. This will give you a much easier introduction to diving than you'll get from most of the dive companies along the waterfront.

  Mostly though I was really impressed with the kit. Although I've not seen many dive operations in Europe with bad kit, these guys have gone the extra mile to buy good quality equipment. For example they have mi-flex hoses on their regulators - these are more flexible than regular hoses and therefore easier to keep in your mouth as there's less pull from the springiness in the hose. They also have spring straps on their fins which makes putting the fins on much easier. The wetsuits were also in good condition, nice 7mm suits to keep you warm in the cooler winter water.

  I'm a experienced diver with about 500 dives - I've dived with a lot of companies all around the world. I only did one dive with 12dive - the company I'd been diving with earlier in the week is closed on Fridays - however I really liked what I saw so wanted to share a quick review.

  We did our PADI Open Water Course here and it was a blast. The crew did an excellent job of making sure that everybody felt comfortable and ready to go. After learning our skills in the pool with Adrian, we spent the next few days diving. It was good to practice our skills in the ocean, and an extra bonus was being able to do it in such amazing surroundings. On our very first dive we saw a cuttlefish and several other beautiful fish while swimming in a sheltered harbor. The following dives were amazing, with more cuttlefish, moray eels, octopus and more interesting fish and environments than I'd describe here. The instructors did an excellent job of listening to our needs and making sure that we felt comfortable so that we could enjoy the amazing experience - especially Tobi, with whom we went out for the final two dives. If I'm ever back in Tenerife, I'll make sure to dive here again!

  12dive don't own their own boat so they do shore diving. This provides access to a lot of sites you won't see with dive centres based in the harbour. Even if you dive with another company in Costa Adeje I recommend you spend a day or two with 12dive to see some sites across the rest of the island.

  My nine year old daughter did the bubble maker in the hotel pool. Great instuctors and she gave it 100 out of 10. Best thing ever again again.lol very good

  Really nice, modern dive centre with great tech. Was here on a company trip and had a free afternoon at the last minute, emailed in the morning and got super fast responses from Tobi and went it a few hours later for a Refresher dive as Open Water certified. Accompanied by two others, one a fellow O/W and another doing his first ever dive so we kept it pretty shallow in Alcalá. The water was a little bit chilly for March (19 C) and visibility was OK. We were on the lookout for turtles with no luck, but saw Trumpetfish, Cuttlefish and Starfish. All in all happy with my dive and hoping I may return for my Advanced Open Water later in the year!
